Sing!

Why does singing concern our immunity?

Researchers have shown that,as making love, singing increases the production of immunoglobulins . They made blood tests to singers of choir and noted a raise of immunoglobulins A and of hydrocortisone (stress hormone). Immunoglobulins prevent the pathogenic agents from being bound in cells, in particular cells of skin and mucous membranes.

However, we have no information concerning music style which has most benefactions on our system. Thus, it is necessary singing; just listening do not stimulate immunity.

Be in Love

To be in love is one of the best means to have a formidable immunity.

First of all, kissing!
This is a good way of improving immunity because it involves the exchange of bacteria. Kissing prepares our defence system to fight the real infection by producing specific antibodies.

Then, making love!
During a sexual relationship the brain releases endorphins, substances that have a reassuring effect and combat stress. Furthermore, we measured a 30% increase in people regularly making love.

Being in love offers one of the best ways of perfecting the immune system.

Laughing!

Many small studies are concerned with the measurement of the physiological effects of laughter. These consist of showing people humorous films and then measuring in their blood and saliva the levels of the immune system’s components. The results of these studies suggest that laughter may lead to a more successful immune system.

Furthermore, laughter is a way of fighting stress, which can be dangerous for the immune system, as we can see in the article.

However, we should keep an open mind pending more rigorous research into the beneficial effects of laughter.

In the meantime it’s safe to say that having a good laugh doesn’t hurt, on the contrary laughter:
-          is good for the heart
-          is good for dealing with pain
-          is good at helping prevent high cholesterol
-          is an anti-depressant
-          helps with sleep
-          aids digestion
-          combats cancers
-          increases the amount of oxygen in the blood…
-          and many other qualities!

Have fun!

Plan a pleasant activity! An evening with friends, a cooking class or a sport session, it can only be good for your health. Researchers discovered that the anticipation of a pleasant activity was a booster for our immune system.
Indeed, they compared the level of stress of two groups of students, one had planned an activity the other one not. Students of the first group had rates of hormones of the stress (cortisone and adrenalin) subordinates.
To conclude: avoid stress and have fun!!

No stress !

Stress has an influence on our immune system.
Indeed, it modulates the production of interleukine. The interleukin is a substance produced in reply either in germs, or in antigens, and which is in charge of stimulating cells loaded with the development of the immune system (see what is th immune system). It stimulates growth and differentiation of lymphocytes.
Stress can have various impacts according to its duration. The more stress is long, the more immune system passes from adaptive to fatal.

Sharp stressful event (ex: parachute jump)
      sympathetic nervous system
Stimulate natural immunity and reduces a little the specific immunity
      Short stressful event (exam)
      sympathetic nervous system and neuroendocrine
Delete inflammatory cellular specific immunity (cytotoxic T lymphocytes) but protect humoral specific immunity (production of antibodies)
      Mourning and trauma
       Neuroendocrine system
Rate of cortisol rise (cortisol make quantity of T lymphocytes decrease)
      Inflammatory reaction
      Stress (Which change identity)
       Neuroendocrine system
       Rate of cortisol rise
       Inflammatory reaction

Neuroendocrine system is the whole of cells which receive messages from nervous system and translate them into hormones which are directly going to influence the immunizing cells.

Sympathetic nervous system get ready our body for action through hormones (adrenalin and noradrenalin) and activate several organs and functions.

We also discovered the existence of a hormone, secreted in case of stress, which reduces the immunity. It is the osteopontin. It make rate of corticosterone increases, hormone which destroys white blood cells and provokes an atrophy of spleen and thymus, the organs which contribute to the production of lymphocytes, monocytes and antibodies.
